PALM SUNDAY

1. THE PARADE

12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him shouting ,“Hosanna![d]”“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[e]“Blessed is the king of Israel!” John 12:12

2. THE FUNERAL

Sometimes God wants to do something in you before God does something through you

38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.39 “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.” 43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” John 11: 38-44

3. THE MEAL

“…when evening came, Jesus arrived with the 12 and while they were reclining at the table eating, he said, “truly I tell you one of you will betray me”. Mark 14:17

“And while they were eating, Jesus took the bread and when he had given thanks, he broke it and he gave it to the disciples and he said . . .” Mark 14:22

“Then he took the cup and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them and they all drank from it and he said this “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many”
Mark 14: 23.
