Weekly Devotional – A Charlie Brown Christmas – Part One
A Charlie Brown Christmas – Part One
Daily Devotional • Monday–Sunday
MONDAY — What Christmas Is Really About
“For unto you is born this day… a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” — Luke 2:11
Christmas isn’t about perfection but a Savior entering our real, imperfect world—just like Charlie Brown
searching for meaning.
Prompt: Where have I expected Christmas to fill a need only Christ can fill?
Prayer: Jesus, center my heart on You today.
TUESDAY — When the Tree Looks Too Small
“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7
God often uses small, ordinary things—like Charlie Brown’s tree—to show extraordinary truth.
Prompt: What small thing might God want to use in my life?
Prayer: Lord, help me value what You value.
WEDNESDAY — When You Feel Like You Don’t Fit In
“Come to Me, all who are weary… and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Like Charlie Brown, we often feel out of place. Jesus meets us in our weariness and brings rest.
Prompt: What weariness do I need to bring honestly to Christ?
Prayer: Jesus, give my heart rest today.
THURSDAY — Peace on Earth
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace…” — Luke 2:14
Peace doesn’t come from perfect circumstances but from God’s presence with us.
Prompt: Where do I need God’s peace today?
Prayer: Lord, let Your peace quiet my worries.
FRIDAY — Let Your Light Shine
“Let your light shine before others…” — Matthew 5:16
Like the little tree transformed when everyone joined in, God uses His people shining together.
Prompt: How can I shine Christ’s light in one simple way today?
Prayer: God, help me reflect Your light today.
SATURDAY — A Christmas Family Activity
“Love one another as I have loved you.” — John 15:12
Love is the heart of Christmas. Families reflect Christ when they pause and share joy together.
Family Activity: Each person shares one simple thing that brings them joy at Christmas. Pray together
afterward.
Prompt: Who in my family needs extra grace this week?
Prayer: Lord, help our home be filled with grace and joy.
SUNDAY — That’s What Christmas Is All About
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” — John 1:14
Because Christ came, fear loses its grip—just like Linus dropping his blanket.
Prompt: What fear do I need to lay before God today?
Prayer: Father, thank You for being God with us. Strengthen my trust in You.
