Mother’s Day
Joy-Filled Resilience:
When God Becomes Your Strength
I. Mother’s Day Blessing
II. Joy as a Choice, Not a Circumstance
- Nehemiah 8:10 “… The Joy of the LORD is your strength.”
True joy isn’t tied to what’s happening around us – it’s anchored in who God is. We choose joy by focusing on His character, His promises, and His presence.
- Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
III. Resilience Rooted in Relationship with God
- John 15:11 “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”
- Philippians 4:4 “,,,Rejoice in the LORD always, I will say it again Rejoice!”
Lasting strength flows from intimacy with God. We build a foundation through prayer, Scripture, and surrender that allows us to endure, recover, and remain steady when life feels overwhelming.
III. Strength That Shows Through Struggle
- James 1:2-3 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”
God’s strength is often most visible in our weakest moments. When we rely on Him, our perseverance becomes a testimony, demonstrating faith, hope, and unwavering trust to others.
